With over 30 years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to serving students, families, and communities—and I have loved every moment of it.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision, and a Master’s in Elementary Education. I am certified in Special Education (Behavior and Learning Disabilities), Middle School English, and Educational Administration at both the primary and secondary levels.

In 2019, I was honored as Teacher of the Year by the Berea Lions Club, and in 2024, I was named a finalist for BOLD Educator of the Year.

While serving as a behavior teacher, 95% of my students successfully transitioned from self-contained settings back into general education, moving into less restrictive environments that supported their continued academic and social growth. As part of my program, I followed students through middle and high school, monitoring progress and providing ongoing support and services to both students and their families.

Currently, I serve as the Director of Dream Preparatory Academy, where I continue my commitment to education—one scholar at a time. In this role, I facilitate both teacher and student growth by monitoring academic performance and social-emotional development, mentoring and coaching staff in best practices, and fostering strong partnerships with parents and the community. My work includes leading community outreach initiatives, Lunch and Learn programs, and partnerships that provide families with resources supporting education, basic needs, and socioeconomic growth.

I believe teaching goes far beyond academics. It is about building meaningful relationships, seeing students not only for where they are, but for who they can become. The success of any educational environment depends on strong collaboration among educators, families, and communities—and these relationships have been central to helping every student I’ve served reach their full potential.
